Kuro Games is developing an open-world action role-playing game called Wuthering Waves, which promises players a story-rich experience with a high degree of freedom. The game features an intuitive combat system with active dodges and timings, set in a post-apocalyptic world. Although the initial release date speculations for the game proved to be inaccurate, a closed beta was conducted in April 2023, which has since ended. The release date for the full game is still unknown, and fans are advised to keep an eye on official announcements for any updates.

Initially, the game was supposed to be released in May 2022, but due to some reasons, the release date was postponed until October of the same year. However, both dates came and passed without any launch. Later, articles published in September 2022 suggested that the game would be globally released in November of the same year, but it was not the case, and the official Wuthering Waves Twitter account still described the game as "currently under development."

The closed beta for Wuthering Waves took place from April 24th to May 17th, 2023. Kuro Games plans to make significant changes to the game based on player reviews, such as rewriting storylines for some of the main missions and side quests, adjusting characters' personalities, adding English voice lines, and improving dubbing quality. The developers also plan to prioritize localization and performance in further changes post the closed beta, such as improving text translation, voice lines, and interactive content quality. They also aim to optimize the game client to reduce lagging, frame drops, and crashes, fix pixelated models, key sensitivity issues, and camera follow, and make the interface layout, graphics quality, and frame rate customizable for mobile users.
